The marching brass band "De Böllekes" was founded in Oisterwijk in 1974 by several members of Harmonie Orkest Oisterwijk. Since 1987 the more than 15 musicians from the Dutch province Brabant are regular visitors of the annual Königswinter Winzerfest, the first weekend of October. The band’s sweeping and swinging melodies do not only enliven the traditional vintagers’ procession on Sunday morning, but the pulsing music - De Böllekes have a large repertoire covering Brazil Samba as well as Boogie Woogie and Viennese Walz - supplies excellent entertainment in the streets of the wine town at the foot of the Drachenfels during the whole weekend of this popular wine festival.
